Obesity Statistics

More than half
of American adults are overweight or obese.

children ages 6-19 are overweight or at risk for being
overweight.

Seventy-seven
percent of African American women are overweight or obese.

The highest
prevalence of obesity in boys is observed in Mexican
Americans.

prevalence of obesity in girls is observed in African
